American contractor killed by Taleban in Kabul!

Today saw the Taleban flexing its muscles of sort in Kabul.the Taleban managed to kill an American security contractor by crashing their car into his.to make matters dicey, they had rigged up thier car with explosives.an eyewitness reported seeing the two cars of the contractors rushing past him, then the taleban's car with explosives made a beeline for the contractor's car and then there was a loud bang.in the explosion an afghan citizen along with the american contractor was killed on the spot.another american was injured.this scene is almost out of a movie.i am not a security expert but should one not vary one's ingress and exgress[entry and departure] points from time to time so as to avoid such ambushes?anyway the Taleban are flexing their muscles but it is all for nothing.the whole world has seen what the Taleban can do and would not allow the rise of it again not even in a minor position!as far as the world is concerned the Taleban is a terrorist group and as such would be dealt with accordingly!

34 Killed and 3 UK troops in Iraq dead!

Car bomb blew up 25 odd people to bits at a busy intersection in Baghdad today.the militant attacks are of late targetting the common man.nowdays it is quite risky to even venture to a street corner to just buy vegetables.you never know if the car silently cruising alongside you is a human bomb.i guess as far as Iraq goes, car truly kills.that was not the end of carnage for Iraq today.about 20 beheaded bodies were found floating downstream, the bodies were probably dumped there by the militants.
And to make matters worse, three U.K troops were killed by a roadside bomb.all in all today is certainly just the same like any other day for Iraq.when is the security for the common man going to improve?that certainly seems to be more of a mirage than a reality especially of late!

U.S Senate puts the brakes on the Immigration bill!

The showdown between the senate and the white house has entered a new realm of 'NO GO'.today the senate effectively has blocked the Immigration bill by way of which president Bush sought to give relief to the thousands of illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States.they have effectively 'booted' the bill out, making it clear that any more action on this bill would be taken up only after the presidential elections are done with.with the current approval rating already low for the current incumbent president, this news may only harden positions between that of the donkey and the elephant.with the donkeys braying 'HEE NOOO' the elephant may just be pushed to go off on a rampage.joking apart, this news may come as a shock for the thousands of illegal immigrants who were hoping against hope for some relief.the sad part is that the illegal immigrants cannot really seek any remedial relief from any further punitive actions because they are 'illegal' immigrants and therefore do not have much recourse under the current immigration law.
what will be the next move for president Bush?normally every president would like to have achieved a major policy coup during his tenure but with immigration bill going down ,Bush is going to do his dammed best to make sure to end his tenure with the U.S-India nuclear bill in his kitty.

Baghdad bomb kills 76!

A truck bomb blasted a wall at the Khillani mosque in the capital's commercial area of Sinak to bits and peices.as usual the military and the current Iraqi government could not do anything about this.this bomb attack has all the trademarks of the Al-Qaeda in it.the militants are trying their best to inflame the sectarianism between the sunnis and the shiites.
A truck bomb struck a Shiite mosque Tuesday in central Baghdad, killing 75 people and wounding more than 200.most of those who were killed had come to worship at the mosque.the mosque is another one of those holy shiite shrine.attacks against such shrines as well as heads of such religious sects are not just increasing in their frequency but in their ferocity as well.while a bomb of lesser calibre was used in earlier occasions the militants have taken to using more powerful explosives and thereby are able to get more casualties with their bombs.currently the casualty figures for the United States army based in Iraq stands at 3,528 which i am sure would have gone up as this post is made.at the moment both the allied forces as well as the iraqi forces are doing their best to root out the militants from their hideouts and in the process have recovered various arms as well as torture implements, the purpose of which it is better not to know.Iraq is bleeding day after day and will it end in the near future?not likely so!

Palestine civil war!

The dream of a single palestine state receded further with the militant Hamas taking over Gaza.the Fatah then started to consolidate themselves in the west bank.the way the situation is right now,a clash between the Hamas and the Fatah seems more likely than ever especially with the west restoring aid and backing the current fatah led government in the west bank.
It is indeed a shame that a movement led by Yasser arafat should have come to this.but i do have to point out that with the militant Hamas out of the government the west finds the current government of palestine much more palatable to deal with.so lets hope that the Middle east peace process is renewed ASAP.

7 children killed by the U.S forces!

Afghanistan of late seems to have come under attack by a wave of suicide bombers.Afghanistan rightly pointed the finger at Pakistan which it accuses of trying to destabilise its government.but in the midst of all this the U.S led forces decided to take on the insurgents only to kill 7 innocent children.it is the young and the old who are suffering the most be it Iraq or Afghanistan.the militants use them as human shields and the end result is that now '7 kids are dead'.
First of all both the United Nations as well as the International Red cross should both step in and make sure that such practises of human shields are not permitted.what is wrong with these people that they have to resort to such practises.
What makes all this worse is the fact that the U.S forces seems to have no second thoughts on attacking such human shields.now 7 kids are dead so what is the U.S going to tell their parents, that they are sorry?would just an apology be okay?will it bring the kids back to life?why should the life of a U.S soldier be much more valued than that of a kid?it is high time that both the United nations and the Red cross stepped in both Afghanistan and Iraq if not to administer the countries at least to ensure that both the old and the young of both of these nations have at least a little semblance of safety!by the way the dead boys are aged between 10 to 16 years.the blood of the young and the old is running on the ground.will the world answer to that??

36 killed in Iraq today!

Today the death count went up by 36 in Iraq.the violence seems to be fast spiralling out of control.with the U.S and the Iraqi forces continuing their operations to the north and the south of Baghdad to hunt the militants down, about 36 Iraqi citizens were killed today as a result of these operations.
What is becoming more and more obvious is that a very large chunk of the Iraqi populace are being killed either as a result of being caught in the crossfire between the militants and the U.S forces or as a result of 'over enthusiastic' action on the part of the Iraqi and the U.S lead forces.either way you look at it,the very population that the United States led alliance swore to protect are fast disappearing into their graves.is this what the war is all about?should not the iraqi people be allowed to live in some semblance of peace and democracy?personally, although i have never been to Iraq i think that the Iraqi citizens had more peace and security under Saddam Husein than they do under the current Iraqi government!

Palestine civil war??

With Hamas and Fatah at loggerheads with each other civil strife is slowly but surely turning to civil war.this is really going to nuts as the dream of a single palestine state disappears further.with both parties vying for supreme control,in the process they are partioning off palestine piece by piece.will peace ever make a landing in the West Bank??

Poland and Romania-prisoners for the CIA!

It is finally out in the open.at the end of a 19 month investigation at last we have some semblance of proof that both Poland and Romania have not only given some support help but have actively participated in this "extreme rendition" for the CIA.they have actively participated in these programs by acting as prisoners for the CIA by housing inmates that the CIA had captured and handed them over to the romanian and polish officials.these officials in turn had imprisoned these inmates for a certain period of time before they were then sent on their way t the U.S mainland.don't get me wrong,i am against terrorism and terrorists.but what about if you were wrongly identified as a terrorist and then taken by force by the CIA and passed on to the romanian and polish officials before being sent to the U.S authorities.imagine if you had to undergo all of that and you are innocent at the same time?this does raise some pivotal questions, does it not?i earnestly hope that the E.U is seriously looking into this!

Iraqi bridges blow up!

If things were not hot enough in Iraq now the insurgents[a neat way of calling the terrorists] are busy blowing up the bridges leading to Baghdad.the insurgents are determined to cripple the current government by attacking the common man on the street as well as any infrastructure that the common man may use.and they are achieving that.
As for the government, they are not really able to do anything much except offer common platitudes for the dead people's family.things are getting out of hand and the insurgents are getting more and more bolder in their attacks.after all they did manage to shoot a rocket very near the building when Ban-Ki-Moon,the U.N secretary general was giving his speech.for sure, that's one speech that the U.N secretary general is not gonna forget in a hurry.this bridge was bombed by a suicide bomber and this time three U.S.soldiers were killed.what is the current government doing about all this?god only knows!

Almost killed Karzai today!

The afghan president Hamid Karzai was almost killed today as the taliban guerrillas rired rockets at the building where he was giving a speech.the rockets narrowly missed the building and naturally on hearing the bomb blasts the crowd panicked and almost fled.but Karzai, being who he is managed to calm down the crowd and went ahead to give his speech.
The talibans are being more active than usual in afghanistan and the fingers are being pointed at pakistan for fomenting trouble in afghanistan.today at Ghazni, the taliban made a bold attack on the president but failed.with such attacks getting more and more frequent, how long would it be before the current government of Hamid Karzai falls and the taliban take over.these are indeed disturbing times for Afghanistan.

Bush declares independence for Kosovo??

Well this has all the hallmarks of the coldwar era.the russian president does not like something and immediately as a way of increasing pressure on the russians, president Bush tightens the screws on them by declaring that independence should be granted to Kosovo.but that may not happen right away seeing that Russia would be in no mind to oblige the americans on this issue and take this with the fact that Kosovo terrorists have killed many number of innocent russian civilians.
Whats more, this may soon turn out into a prestige issue for the russian president Vladimir Putin with the elections not that far away in Russia.the russian people have very strong feeling where Kosovo is concerned and Serbia would in no way let its emotional heartland break away from it irrespective of any united nations ordinance on it.all in all russia may just up the ante by supporting Iran in its nuclear quest as well as making sure that the oil pipeline project that Iran has with pakistan and India goes through at all costs.all of the above are just surmises but it is also to highlight the way that events may turn out shortly in the near future.President Bush declared in Albania that enough was enough and that the united nations should recognize Kosovo as an independent republic.that has indeed set the ball rolling and now we all have to wait an see what Russia does back in return.the 'cold war' it seems, ladies and gentlemen,is not over!

Shooter kills 6 and injures a toddler!!

As hard as this may be for some people to believe, there are new depths of 'low' to which certain people do sink to.i can understand that in a crime of passion that one may shoot.but to shoot a toddler??this person is indeed sick!
What did the toddler do to him other than being at that place.it is not like the toddler could get up and walk to some safe place.this incident happened in DELAVAN, WIS.it is some 40 miles southwest of Milwaukee.the sheriff's office is investigating this but the motive still remains very unclear.and the person who has done this, well,no one is saying anything.can't imagine that this took place in Wisconsin.
the butter capital of the United States has indeed come into its share of grisly crimes but to shoot an innocent toddler, that's a whole new low for this state.
This only impresses the need for urgent gun control in the united states,it is high time that the government did something about this and took the guns out of the hands of people before they do more harm to themselves as well as others.maybe the United States should follow the U.K and India's example by implementing a strict gun control law under which no one can just own a gun.in short take the guns out of the system and the killings like this would indeed drop drastically.what do you think?

Bush does a skipper?

President Bush skipped some of his official duties as he started to suffer from an upset stomach.of course would he have had anything helpful to contribute, well,it may have been so.at least, the United States is taking 'global warming' seriously enough.what will be the next step for the United States and the world as regards 'global warming'.we will all have to wait and see.
as for his upset stomach,it may have been something that he had eaten.or it could have been a virus.eitherway the protestors at the G8 would be happy to see one of thier main opponents suffering a little, albeit it is for health reasons.

Militants strike at Iraq's police chief!

Iraq is again in the news for all the wrong reasons.what would be surprising would be the news that the 'killing' has stopped.today saw the militants attack a 'police chief' and his residence in northern iraq.militants, arrived in loads, shot the chief's bodygaurds, his wife, his two brothers and have kidnapped his three sons.thankfully the chief was not at home.if this is the safety for a 'police chief' can you imagine what it would be like for the ordinary citizen of iraq?
The killings started with a bus explosion in which scores of people died, then a suicide bomber was seen driving towards a mosque at a place near the town of kirkurk.the police naturally opened fire and he exploded.the killings have been getting more frequent of late and this is indeed a worrying trend.not withstanding the sectarian violence in iraq, the 'kurds' of late have been making thier presence felt as well.all in all order seems to be fighting a losing battle with 'chaos'.whats next?

'Safety First' at Discounts!

THIS IS A SPONSORED REVIEW!

This is the age of multitude of opportunities and as such there are so many of them.but each oportunity brings its own brand of danger.imagine that you are the kind of person who is requied to,say in iraq,to cap off an oil explosion.first of all,you will have the militants to deal with.then comes the oil explosion itself.you are required to cap off the explosion,at the heart of which temperatures run upwards of 1000 centigrades.so naturally you can only undertake such jobs with proper safety gear.that is given.but what most people are not aware of is that such gear is often not updated with much more efficient gears and the gear that most companies use nowdays are often old and antiquated.the reason for this is often the 'high costs' of such gear.but that need not be the case anymore with shops like safety at discounts being made available today.
Safety should always be our main concern and money should come later.we all require safety gear especially if we are doing work in the 'industrial' field.and some of the most necesary safety gears in the industrial field are listed below.
we all require Hard Hats to protect our heads from any falling debris or any impact or any cave-ins.and they do this quite efficiently.
the next one is the Safety Goggles without which our eyes would have been exposed to so much harm.i cannot list all the disadvantages here but can you imagine working in a 'foundry' without them to protect your eyes.so the safety goggles are quite essential.
but none more so than the First Aid Kits without which countless lives would have been lost.accidents do happen quite often and they do so in the 'industrial' field.therefore when an accident happens,it is often of a serious nature and one must be prepared to do all to stabalise the patient.so First Aid Kits are quite essential.
this site is just great, with a really neat design and with such attractive prices for the products listed here.whats more any purchases over 100$ need not pay any shipping charges.all in all this is a neat site with such necessary wonderful products and great safety FAQ's.so drop in and take a look around!

I am back!

thank god that my blog got unlocked.it was a harrowing experience to find out that the blogger bots have suspected your blog as being an 'auto' blog and have therefore locked it down.this happened on saturday and i was told that it would take 2-3 business days to unlock it but we should not expect anything to happen before a week's time.thank god that did not hold true in my case.i guess that the first thing that the blogger staff did when they got back to work was to tweak the bots.having done that they have also unlocled my blog.
thank you guys,it is indeed good to be back!normally i would say 'yah....' so instead i shall say 'GOOGLE'!

Darfur cries!

Will no one stop what is happening in Darfur?it seems that with the United States taking a firm line on the entire darfur mess and giving a stern warning to Sudan, that alone should at the very least stopped the sudanese army from commiting any further atrocities on the refugees fleeing Sudan.but no,if anything else,it seems to have emboldened them to commit further atrocities agaist the refuges.
it seems that for the Sudanese army it is not enough that they chase out the innocents out of thier own homes, but they are currently dropping bombs by the ton on the fleeing refugees.a genocide o sorts is currently taking place in Darfur.it is high time that the world stood firm against Sudan and said 'NO' in a single united voice!

Lebanon in flames!

Well the strife between the Fatah militants holed up in the palestine refugee camp and the lebanese army seems to have continued onto its 13th day.the end does not seem to be near at all and if anything,it only seems to be very far away.recently a truce was declared between the opposing sides but that truce barely held on for one complete hour!
Things are degenerating fast into a full scale battle.i would not be all that suprised if the lebanese army makes arial attacks on the refugee camps as a preemptive measure.but the question on nearly everyone's mind is what about the refugees?what about the old women and children who are being caught in the middle of this war zone.they came to the refugee camp to be safe and i think that we can all agree that is not happening, not anytime soon anyway!
