U.S to use force to free hostages!

The U.S is planning tom use force to free the south Korean hostages being held by the Taliban.if one were to pay attention to all the public statements that are coming out of the United states one would note that the U.S has made it aptly clear to P[Pakistan in not so many words that it would not condone a Taliban resurgence.with the latest so called tiff over territorial aggression,Pakistan is increasingly finding itself in a bind, what, with the need to allay its domestic voting banks who are increasingly radical to that of the need to weed out the so called Taliban militia and exterminate the problem once and for all.with the elections so near, this just makes things all the more problematic!

Of course the U.S may be planning something more than merely rescuing the hostages.they could use this as an excuse and mount an all frontal assault against the Taliban bases in Pakistan.the Pakistan intelligence has thought of this and have issued statements to the effect that Pakistan will not condone any territorial aggression by anyone[meaning the U.S].with politics and diplomacy one always has to read between the lines and reading so,the relationship between Pakistan and the U.S is heading downhill and fast at that!

South Korean hostage crisis!

The south Korean hostage crisis seems to get murkier day by day with the Afghanistan officials running here and there but in the end ,not accomplishing much by any one's standards.already one of the hostages has been shot in cold blood by the erstwhile Taliban militants.according to certain police sources, the hostage in question was sick and could not walk therefore he was shot by the militants and get this, right on his birthday.his aging mother who was in south Korea at that time was waiting for a phone call from her son so that she could wish him happy birthday.
that really takes the cake and et all.with the allied forces also present in Afghanistan, couldn't they track these militants down and eradicate them once and for all.what about the women hostages, could they not be released.as for the demands of the militants, well one of them wants Taliban prisoners to be released, the other wants money while the other militants are not sure about what they want and already there have been arguments and small skirmishes amongst themselves, according to certain well placed sources in the Taliban.shouldn't this be the time when the government forces should attack them, especially when the militants are disorganised and confused??

Almost killed Karzai today!

The afghan president Hamid Karzai was almost killed today as the taliban guerrillas rired rockets at the building where he was giving a speech.the rockets narrowly missed the building and naturally on hearing the bomb blasts the crowd panicked and almost fled.but Karzai, being who he is managed to calm down the crowd and went ahead to give his speech.
The talibans are being more active than usual in afghanistan and the fingers are being pointed at pakistan for fomenting trouble in afghanistan.today at Ghazni, the taliban made a bold attack on the president but failed.with such attacks getting more and more frequent, how long would it be before the current government of Hamid Karzai falls and the taliban take over.these are indeed disturbing times for Afghanistan.
