A swim in the North?

The recent newsmaker for the environment is the news of a U.K guy who plans to swim in the north pole.we all know how low the temp gets up there.it gets so low that even the penguins whose bodies are covered by a thick layer of fat have to huddle together for warmth.it is so cold up there that certian parts of the male anatomy would freeze up and you could probably use them as marbles.now this guy wants to swim there!?!
Well, when asked about his motives,he said that he wanted to draw attention to the environmental issues facing the world today.kudos to him for that.but i think that the just drawing attention to it alone is not going to help our Earth.i think that we should all instill a deep sense of respect for Earth and its natural resources in our children from a very young age.in other words,it is not only us who needs to be educated as far as our environment goes but also our children.any change can only be substantial if it starts from the groundroots.right now,we cal all start by REUSING the same plastic bags when we go out to buy something else or better yet us something else instead of plastic!what do you say?

A walk on the Beach!

With the tension factor rising through the roof with Iran adamantly sticking to its nuclear program and with Leabnon in strife and lets not forget the everyday specter of car bombs in Iraq, don't we all wish that we can take a break and walk on a lovely beach, now and then,at the very least to take a break from everything?
The beach in question can be none other than the Golden Beaches of sunny Hawaii!we all need a break from everything and if not a vacation at the very least take a working holiday to sunny hawaii!once we reach Hawaii we should forget all about Iraq,Iran and everything else with it but only think of sun, sand and surf.
More than anything else,it has been medically adviced that we all should take some time off so as to deal with our stress levels.is it any suprise that with companies getting more demanding day by day on thier employees, the crime rate keeps on increasing.i think that all corporates should realise that employees who have high levels of stress would not be that productive.so therefore this is my suggestion which i hope will be taken seriously by all corporates worldwide.my suggestion to the corporates is this, that they make it mandatory for all employees to take sometime off[this rule is already there in most companies] but also they offer to pay for their employees to vacation by taking hawaii trips!i can gaurentee that on return the employees will all be very, very, happy employees!what do you think?

Big brother is watching in China!

China has always held 'privacy' down and the latest rules should not come as a suprise to many.according to the latest rules, all bloggers from China are hereby required to register with their real names and addresses.these latest guidelines comes from the 'internet society of China',obviously following government orders.this is contrary to the recent reports that the chinese government was considering lossening up the registration requirements for bloggers.all they have done is to make 'big brother' a reality, which many intrepid chinese are going to have to bear.probably this is done so as to keep track of those who make anti-chinese blogs.big brother or not, this is really a case for the funny farm.how much of the big brother are the chinese bloggers going to take?is 'anonymous' blogging gone forever in China?

Iran becomes Hot!

Today the United States sent its warships near the coast of Iran ,two aircraft carriers and landing ships packed with 17,000 U.S. Marines and sailors to carry out unannounced exercises in the Persian Gulf.this has made an already volatile situation even much worse.one cannot predict what the Iranian's next move will be but whatever the Iranians or the United States does ,this is bound to have a domino effect on the whole of the Middle East.this is not the sort of news that one was hoping for,it is lke pouring oil into a blazing fire when we all want is for the fire of tension to die down.take this along with what is currently happening in Lebanon, all i can say is that the Middle East is all set to "rock" once again.

U.S army man's body floats down the Euphrates!

Today an U.S army man's body was found floating down the Euphrates river just south of Baghdad.the person in question was found to have been shot on the head and chest.when the officials were asked about this, they denied all of this.about three U.S armymen were kidnapped while they were on thier patrol of baghdad.this person whose body nwas found is thought to be one of them.what really troubles me is the fact that first of all that not one but three army men were kidnapped in Baghdad with such ease.then the case of the officials not saying anything concrete, neither confirming that the dead person is an U.S army man,one of the three who had been kidnapped in Baghdad recently or that the dead person is not an U.S army man.do the top honchos in the U.S army realise the stree and trouble they are putting the families of the three kidnapped soldiers through?do they realise that the three families are right now praying to god that this dead person who was found on the Euphrates is not their son?does the army realise the emotional stress that they are putting the family through?i just hope that all of this confusion is resolved really soon!

Iraq and bombs,again!

Iraq has been bombed again!this may not be suprising to many of us but what is shocking is the way that human lives are being wasted in Iraq.on the one hand it seems so esay to blame George Bush but the real truth of the matter is that even if the Democrats take the White House in the next election the killings will go on.
Not many people seem to have realised that all of these killings are taking place 'inspite' of the U.S security cover.today at least 25 people were killed on spot and about 60 were injured when another one of these car bombs went off.the solution to all of this is not in just the U.S evacuating Iraq but it is amongst the iraqi's themselves.all of the major players in Iraq are battling amongst themselves so as to get more power and as a result of this chaos, the militants are stepping in to do as much damage as they can.but theres another worrying aspect to all of this, that is,the ordinary Iraqi politician trying to whittle down his rival's power base by planting a bomb in his/her neighbourhood.that too is entirely possible.i do not think that the U.S administration made a correct choice by giving Saddam Hussein to the oraqi;s for trial and then keeping quiet when they hanged him.now his death has left a huge power imbalance and all the political heads are fighting amogst themselves for power, and in the process they are killing the very citizens over whom they wish to exercise thier power.
and of course there is also the sectarian side to the violence.people must understand that violence knows no religion, caste or creed.the militants are covertly introducing a sectarian war and unless someone steps in,a civil war will very likely break out and it will be a bloodthirsty one.the car bombs will seem like a scratch compared to that.also Iran is waiting to see what happens to Iraq its lifelong enemy.everything is heading but in one direction the direciton of blood, chaos, unrest, sectarianism and death.but is anybody listening??

Lebanon on a simmering boil !

Lebanon is slowly but surely heading into the danger zone of a civil war as fresh clashes broke out between the lebanese army and the militant group Fatah islam.this islamic militant group is holed up in one of the many palestinian refugee camps in lebanon.ironically these camps were set up by the Lebanese for the palestinian refugees
fleeing as a result of Israel incursions.and now it seems that Lebanon may have bitten more than it could have chewed.what is worrying many of the security advisors of the current government is the rapid pace with which this new "intifadaa" is spreading across the multitude of refugee camps.it all started with the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr el-Bared,and recently a U.N convoy was hit as it was caught in the crossfire bewtween theLebanese army and the Fatah group.the third truce which was declared bewteen the two groups did not even last one whole hour before it was broken all over again.in all of this i should guess that Israel may be feeling a little smug as they had faced this militant groups many many times and Lebanon had always downplayed any objections the israeli's may have raised in the international fora vis-a-vis militancy!

The perfect gift store!

THIS IS A SPONSORED REVIEW!

We all have tried to literally tear the hair from our heads in frustration over choosing a right gift for a person and now here comes along this fantastic site, that relieves us of this stress and makes it all look so easy!designer gifts is a part of the online stores that certainly sems to know thier job quite well.all we have to do is to go to their site and decide what we want.they have so many categories to choose from, more than so many of the other gift stores that are online.
lets talk about this site a little bit.first of all when i went to their site what hit me was the way their site was designed.this is a great design, made in such a way that literally brings out the whole store to you in a single click!that is saying a lot;especially when you have certain sites where you have to keep on clicking and ckicking to finally get to where you want to go.now i know that there are some sites that offer some gifts at low prices but here i was suprised by the amount of cheap gifts that are available.
so it is literally a store for many purses,be they small or big!
one of the new products that is available at digital store is their digital picture frames.they are fantastic to look at and get this,no ground shipping costs for this one!is'nt that great!
they also have gifts for men.yeah, quite often women tell us men, that they could not buy a gift for us because they did not have any idea what we may like.well, with this store they can no longer use that as an excuse.this store has some great Gift ideas for men.truth be told,i am going to make sure that all of my female collegues,my family as well as my girl friends know about this site and i think from now on,i can at least be assured that come any occasion they will get me gifts that i like!
to be honest,i really like this site.i really cannot find anything negative to say about this site except for the color.maybe they could have used something else instead of orange like blue/green,but hey that's just my perception, that's all.so do visit this site and you will not be disappointed!
by the way, shipping is free for purchases over 75$.

iraq-iran-united states

The current tango between Iraq,Iran and the United States has started.with Iran determined to have its say on Iraq the world is watching for the United States reaction to Iranian proposals.only time would tell how palatable are the Iranian proposals.but lets be honest,if Iran were to suggest long hair, the United States would want everyone to go bald and vice versa!and a tango of sorts has began!

the tension factor!

With all the tension that is raging all around us all the time one can only wish that the world was amuch quieter place.but that does not seem to be happening anytime soon.especially with Iran increasing the tension levels in the middle east.
thinngs in the sub continent are not that great either.especially with the recent anti china view proposed by the defense department.but the facts do remain that China is building up her military and they seem to be quite aggresive about it.
the defense department siad in not so many words that if China was to attack any country be it Taiwan or India itself,it can mean only one thing -war.and thats all we need right now.why is it so hard for the people to think of peace?

Cliffside Malibu-the rehab with a difference!

THIS IS A SPONSORED REVIEW!

Cliffside malibu is a rehab with a difference.it is a residential drug, alcohol, rehab center and it also provides additional care facilities for its patients suffering from addiction.
Often when we suffer from addiction we go into denial. the solution lies within us.that is correct.but what we do not realise too often is that we require help to find the solution within us.this is where cliffside comes in with its drug rehabilitation program.think of cliffside malibu like a helping hand allowing us to find the solution within ourselves.
what makes cliffside different is in the way they treat their patients.they unlike other similar centers do not just dry out thier patients and then release them.cliffside imparts a sense of value and well-being to all of its patients so that when they leave they leave with a higher sense of self worth and are therefore unlikely to abuse themselves again.it is sad that there are so many people, adult and young, who abuse themselves with alcohol, drugs and other harmful substances.we often do not realise until it is late that we have a problem.here at cliffside care is taken to ensure that the self worth of all the patients are good before they are released again.in short, cliffside is a rehab with a difference.they just do not take the abuse substances out of your system but ensure that because of a higher self worth the person would not abuse himself or herself.cliffside malibu certianly give a whole new meaning to drug rehabilitation.
so do click on the link and check it out for yourself.have a nice day!

Iran threatens to attack U.S!

Iranian president has told the newspapers that if the U.S plans to atack Iran will retaliate and that Iran will and can take care of any invaders.the exact words were once spoken by Saddam hussein during the first iraq war with the United States.the difference here is that the local opinion in Iran seems to hold that the Iranian president can deliver.it all started with Dick Cheney shooting off his mouth while he was travelling to the persian gulf, that the U.S and its allies will do anything to stop Iran from dominating the middle east.either way all that Dick Cheney seems to have done is racket up the tension even more.
with qa nuclear Iran threatening to retaliate is not the sort of thing one wants to hear while haviong his breakfast.anyway the U.S and Iran are due to meet in Baghdad to discuss Iraq,so lets see how that goes!for my 2 bits, the meeting would probably degereate into a sort of "throw insults and bay like a wolf" sort of meeting.lets hope for the best!

george bush-more bushisms??

well,we all know that geroge bush is getting old and all that.but i find it hard to believe that he is so old as to actually make that mistake he did while receiving queen Elizabeth the second.he amnost made the queen nearly 2 centuries old and going by his record of "bushisims" this one was almost unforgivable.well,if he had done this in england way back in 1776[where he had placed the queen] it would have been "off with his head",and with that will end all the problems that the world faces today!lets hope that it happens!

fraknly i have to say that such shoddy behaviour on the part of the soldiers is unforgivable.granted that they are fighting a dirty war out there but nothing, nothing can excuse the killing of innocent civilians!

Another blast in Baghdad!

This seems to go on again and again.trying to prevent such bomb attacks from happening is not going to be easy.but i think that the solution to the problem is tackling it at the groundroots rather than just building a bunker.events in baghdad are spiraling out of control and the fatalaties seem to be on the rise all over again.if the U.S as well as the other allied powers are not careful then we may end up having a full fledged sectarian war.it is sad that two sects belonging to the same religion can hate one another so much but then again,in christianity, the roman catholics and the protestants hate one another with the same intensity as it can be seen more clearly in Ireland.
Regarding Baghdad,we cannot simplify the problem.there are militants there who would like nothing better than to see a civil war break out and watch them tear the country apart.this is what the heads of both the communities must realise.they must realise that as more car bomns and attacks of sectarian nature take place, the militants are slowly but surely tearing Iraq apart and that they are winning the war,not the Iraq government or the sunnis or the shias or the Allied powers. That is the sad truth.so tackle the problem at the ground roots and make both the communities realise what is at stake.after all religious sentiments or false pride alone is not going to put the food on the table,is it?

Running away from Condoleezza Rice

Well,i have heard that to avoid a lady a man can go to any lengths and this was only prove to be all true when at a dinner of diplomats the iranian foreign minister boycotted on the reason that the violinist was not dressed appropriately.either way the quesiton that is doing the rounds is whether it was the woman in the red dress or the state secretary that got to him.either way he was seen fleeing the scene.
The Egyptians offered to host a lunch for the americans and the iranians to work out the Iraq imbroligo.when asked by the press if the Iranain foreign minister and the secretary of the state would be seated next to each other,Egypt's Aboul Gheit stated "no,no".the emphasis he made on his answer makes one wonder if all will ever be well between Iran and the U.S.
