Larry craig takes a bow??

Larry craig,the U.S senator in the middle of the 'gay' scandal is about to leave the senate or so the story goes.of course,what the hell he was thinking of,is a question that i do not think that even Larry Craig can answer for the moment.anyway the wolves are all out and they are all baying for Craig to resign.and soon if things go the way that it is supposed to,then Idaho will have a new senator.lets get back to the scandal itself.what i find hard to believe that this person,the senator who had been so anti gay all of a sudden gets caught in a gay scandal,well,that only highlights the deficiency that has become all to common amongst all the politicians in the world and that is hypocrisy.anyway,where will Larry go to?to the nearest men's room,perhaps?

Tickets to any show that you want!

We have all gone through this,that is trying to get tickets to our favorite show at the last moment only to be told that all tickets are sold out.and even if we manage to get the tickets,oh boy!it will not really be worth it because the seats would either be at the farthest point from where it would not be all that possible to follow anything on the stage or even worse,the seats would be broken or may even have some gum stuck on it.

Hurricane Felix huffed and puffed!

With any hurricane comes the news of disasters and of people missing and Felix,true to form,has managed to do exactly that.with Felix,at least the people had a little time to batten down the doors.but in spite of all the precaution that was taken,the death toll has risen to about 40.but this is a category 5 storm,so such looses go with any hurricane in that category.but if the people had not been warned in advance what to expect from Felix,the toll would have been much higher!

Argus is all rearing to go!

Argus the latest Argus community invention is all set and raring to go.for those of you who do not know what this is all about,they are a community for bloggers and a valuable that all advertisers want.in short,this site is just a home away from home for all bloggers out there in the blogosphere!
At PPP,Ted,Pete and the rest of the dev team have worked to make this an experience that you will not forget.what is more,it is because of the team that we,bloggers,now can have our 'postie' profile readily available for the advertisers to pick and choose from.be it just plain blogs, or pageranks or geographical location,well,the advertisers can locate you a whole lot more easily now thanks to the team and the work that they have done on PPP.the dev work,naturally took a lot of time and effort but in the end it was all worth it.it has made blogging and a postie's life a whole lot more easier to live with!
With Argus,the advertisers would be able to get a correct idea of the popularity of the blog.rather than just depend on Alexa or Google,they will start using Argus along with those two.what we postie's would have to do is to copy and paste the java code along with our post and all the data would later be used by the advertisers to decide which blog they want to advertise on.this is fantastic.because in my opinion,Alexa does not give the correct data and only registers those visitors who have downloaded the Alexa toolbar.that sucks,but now with Argus,that problem is taken care of!
Now the dev team has added some really fantastic tools in this site.what is really the great news is that more and more offers are due to come to us,posties.that is not all,there is a new blog monetization option that is going to come.it is all under wraps for now,but thanks to ted,pete and the rest of the dev team,we can expect it really soon.in short the PPP world is going in for a tizzy so become a postie and a part of this family! enjoy the life!

Germany cracks down on terror plots!

One of the first news that i had heard was that the German police had arrested some people on suspicion of plotting future terrorist attacks.i have to say that as a result of such terror attacks the value of civil liberties is going down drastically day by day.every country needs to deal with terrorist attacks on a war footing but it should not come at the cost of civil liberties.
The Australia-Haneef episode clearly highlights how easy it is to make mistakes.people in authority often make mistakes and then they make even worse mistakes in trying to cover up the original mistakes.that said,although on the outset it may seem that arresting someone on the basis of just suspicion may seem like a certain community is being targeted but the reality is that people of that community are the ones who are indulging in such terrorist attacks.what is more,they are using 'terrorism' as an ideology and often madras's or schools of religious thought,which should have been preaching tolerance,just do the opposite and pretty much tell their followers to attack their neighbours.
I am sorry to say this but the prevailing opinion in the world at large is that people belonging to such communities are the ones that should be put under the scanner and they should be viewed with suspicion.it is sad that it has come to this.but if you were to take a world wide poll asking everyone as to which community should they blame for the terrorist attacks,most of them would say that one community.as you can see,i am not naming that community here because i believe in being fair.but if you were to take account of all terrorist attacks all around the world,you will see that most or nearly all of them have been perpetrated by one community and all in the name of religion.if this state of affairs is to continue,then all that these so called terrorists will accomplish is uniting the entire world not just against them but also against their community as well.it will not be long before the world in general starts asking the question,'if members of one community is making such attacks and taking Innocent lives,why should that community be given any privileges?'.
As you can see,the world is not a safe place as it once was and civil liberties are not that valued as it should have been.this scourge of terrorism is shaping the world in ways that both the terrorists as well as the world in general did not envisage.it is high time that governments all over the world went on a war footing.in conclusion i would like to state that what the Berliner's have done with regard to the recent attacks is correct and that is what we should all do.instead of waiting for people to attack us,let us attack them first.undertake an investigation of sorts and when we have obtained concrete evidence of their terrorist beliefs and hatred,act upon it and take them in.most of the civil liberties that we value so much may have already lost its sheen,but at the very least let us save one of the most basic principles of all democracies that 'every citizen is guaranteed safety and security in their own country!"

Bangladesh cracks down on Politicians!

Well,for many of us such incidents are really welcome news.with all the corrupt politicians that are there this is one country that says 'no' to the corrupt ones.that is fantastic and all that.but one should take heed so as not to make democracy pay the price.i mean,what with all the politicians in the jail,who will run the country.as painful as it is for me to say this,politicians are a necessary evil of the society now days.
It does not matter whether your country is fully developed or just developing.either way we all have politicians from the likes of Clinton to those of Larry craig.come what may,as a society,we are not yet developed to live a life of that of 'Utopia' and we need to be governed and we need the laws.so yes,politicians are necessary but that does not mean that we have to put up with the kind of acts that they carry out.we should regulate politicians and make sure that they behave.at the very least we expect nothing less than the best from all politicians irrespective of where they are!
