It had all the hallmarks of a badly written western but at least this one had a happy ending of sorts. Venezuela, not really known for its law and order, had to face a sort of catch - 22 with the bank robbers holding some members of the public as hostage.
In the beginning they managed to take at least 30 hostages but later, released them as a sign of good faith. In the closing chapters of this episode, they took five hostages with them and fled away in an ambulance. of all the escape vehicles, this was one of the dumbest ones that they could have used. Instead of using a vehicle that would easily meld into the background, they went and chose one which was sure to stand out even in a car rally. Anyway on being surrounded, these mentally incapacitated bank robbers surrendered having at last discovered that 'Crime does not pay'.

Vanity - how much is enough?
The days of caring seems to be far behind us, most of us, if not nearly all of us, are as shallow as the next model to walk on the ramp. Most of us, from Women to Men, are all concerned with the way that we look. Take Brad Pitt for example, it seems that Brad hates when his birthday comes along, as it only serves to remind him as to how old he is really getting? What did he think? That he was going to remain the same forever? That should give you an idea as to how vain we all are!

Gold, attractive as usual and even more so!

Gold has certainly got a new shine these days and it seems to be one of the hottest selling commodities in the metal market. The economical backlash of the sub prime crisis, the mortgage issue, the Oil price raise and the pounding that some of the most major currencies have got in the world market have all contributed in one form or the other to the value of gold going all the way up. Indeed, this happens to be one of the best times to invest in the metal markets.
The metals, silver and gold are always a good buy as the world stockpiles of both, namely silver is fast running out. Coupled with the recent price surges in both and the demand rate going up, it has made both silver and gold, very hot commodities that is on the 'must buy' list of almost every investor. The one main reason why the demand for these metals is so high could be that both gold and silver are considered to be 'safe bets' in the financial markets of the world.
Here at the Monex deposit company [MDC], they cater to the needs of many an investor by providing them both the gold and silver in the form of the bullion as well as coins and ingots. This company is a part of the Monex group of companies and as such, has been a world leader in the metal markets for over 30 years. They will provide any investor with all the latest information on the metal markets and also make available all the coins and ingots that they want to purchase. What is more, any such purchases are delivered to the customer right away or deposited in a well known bank for safekeeping. All in all, if you are looking for investments and good ones at that, then you should start considering the metal markets seriously and what is more, you can pay a visit to these guys by clicking the link above.

Frankenstein, eat your heart out!

It seems that the vision of Frankenstein is becoming more of a reality these days than you would imagine it to be so. Recently, a group of Franken -tists have managed to make a dead heart beat again by infusing it with live cells. The heart in question was of course that of a rat, and they managed to get it beating again.
This does raise wonderful possibilities for the thousands of patients suffering from heart ailments, but it also brings into focus, the question of how far are we as a species willing to go, in order to achieve immortality?
There are, of course, certain things that we live to the divine. But now, with such advancements in science and namely medicine, can we tell the difference between curing and trying to play god? Is this right?
This is one question that has no easy answer,no one side to it. In the end, all it comes to is a matter of belief, god or medicine!

What glasses do you need to read this?
These days, most of us require glasses or contact lens to read one thing or the other. Although, contact lens may cause problems, we tend to wear those because our glasses are not 'stylish' enough to wear outside.
Well, if you did what I did, by taking a walk into this Great Discovery: www.ZenniOptical.com, you will change your mind very quickly. For one, I no longer use my contact lens that often. With the range of frames and lens that are available in this shop, it seems that I have literally walked into a hoard of the cool glasses that one can get anywhere. From Bifocals to single vision glasses and to add to that there are the sun sensor lens as well, and all of the above in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes, need I say more.
But the best part of this shop are the price ranges that are available here. One of the reasons as to why the price tag is so low is that this shop is supplies the frames that it produces. So if you are in need of some of the coolest glasses on the planet, then just take a walk in!
